Bush fires are common in California. However in the last two years, as the land becomes even drier with extended temperatures into the Autumn months, they have also become more frequent and harder to control. These images were made in Malibu along the Pacific Coast Highway. It is the first time they have had bush fires in this area. The  flames moved fast and even jumped the width of the road.
